While domestic gas cylinder prices saw some relief on Wednesday, they have also seen a fifth increase this year. Statistics indicate that the price of commercial gas cylinders has already increased by approximately ₹500 this year,

What kind of relief is there in the price of domestic gas cylinder?

As the domestic gas cylinder prices were announced last month on March 6th, it was expected that the price of domestic gas cylinders would also increase, but this did not happen. 

According to IOCL data, there has been no increase in the price of domestic gas cylinders in any metropolitan area of ​​the country. The government and oil companies have provided significant relief to the common people. 

On March 7th, the price of domestic gas cylinders was increased by Rs. 60 per cylinder, making it Rs. 913 in Delhi, Rs. 939 in Kolkata, Rs. 912.50 in Mumbai, and Rs. 928.50 in Chennai. These changes will remain in effect through April.

Commercial gas cylinders beyond Rs 2200

1. On the other hand, the price of commercial gas cylinders has been increased for the fifth time in the past four months of the current year. 
2. This could push the price of commercial gas cylinders across the country to over ₹2,200. According to IOCL data, the price of commercial gas cylinders in April saw an increase of ₹200 or more.
3. In the national capital, Delhi, the price has risen by ₹195.5 to ₹2078.50, while the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Delhi has already increased by ₹498 this year.
4. In Kolkata, the price of a commercial gas cylinder has seen the highest increase of Rs 218, reaching Rs 2208. Significantly, this year, the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Kolkata has seen an increase of Rs 524.
5. The price of a commercial gas cylinder in Mumbai has increased by ₹196, bringing the price to ₹2031. Significantly, this year, the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Mumbai has increased by ₹499.5.
